Clair Obscur Expedition 33: Lost Gestral Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, there are 9 Lost Gestrals hidden across the Continent (the open-world traversal areas). Unlike other collectibles, you won't find these in the "dungeons" or linear story zones.

Returning these children to Sastro at the Camp is essential for progression: once you return 4 Gestrals, Sastro rewards you with the ability to break Paint Spikes, which are purple-black barriers blocking off endgame secrets and high-tier loot.

Every Gestral you return provides a reward, but the milestones are the most important:

• 2 Gestrals: Sastro gives you a Rare Picto (usually Vitality I).
• 4 Gestrals: Paint Spike Breaker (Allows you to destroy the purple-black barriers).
• 6 Gestrals: An Elite Weapon for Gustave or Maelle.
• 9 Gestrals: Lost Gestrals Trophy + a Legendary Picto (required for endgame builds).

When looking for the Lost Gestrals, consider the following:

• Gestrals are very small, but their hair often pokes up above the grass or around corners. Look for the distinct broom-like silhouette against the landscape.
• If you are near a Lost Gestral, you will hear a faint, rhythmic whistling or humming sound. This is much easier to hear if you turn down the music volume in the settings.
• You cannot find all 9 Gestrals immediately. You will need to progress the story until Esquie unlocks Swim, Fly, and Dive to access the final four locations.
